Thanksgiving

サンクスギビングのやすみはたのしかったです。サンクスギビングのやみに私はそぼのうちにいきました。そぼのうちは「さんとちゃるず」というまちです。さんとちゃるずは小さいです。私はそぼとおじとふたつおばとふたついとこといつついっしょにヂナをたべました。サンクスギビングのヂナはとてもおいしかったです。そぼのうちで私はべんきょうとしゅくだいをしました。しゅくだいとべんこようはむずかしかったです。だから私はすいようびからにちようびまでべんきょうとしゅくだいをしました。

Translation:

Thanksgiving break was fun!  For thanksgiving break I went to my grandmas house. Her house is in a city called "St. Charles". St. Charles is a small city. Myself, my grandma, my two aunts, two uncles, and five cousins ate thanksgiving dinner together. The dinner was very tasty. At my grandma's house I did homework and studied. My homework and studies were very difficult. That's why I studied and did homework at her house from Wednesday to Sunday.

My Room

私のへやはきれいです。そしてちょっとちいさいです。私のへやにひとりがいます。つくえはいすのよこにあります。べっどはつくえのうしろにあります。このへやからリスととりが みえます。私のへやはおとうとのへやのとなりにあります。だからうるさいです。おとうとのへやのなかにテレビがはあります。でも私のへやのなかにテレビがはありません。私のへやにつくえやべっどやいすやまどやたくさんほんがあります。

My room is clean and a little small. I am alone in my room. In my room the chair is next to the desk. My bed is behind the desk. I can see squirrels and birds from my room. My younger brothers room is next to mine, therefore, it's noisy. There is a TV in my younger brother's room, but not in mine. In my room there is a desk, a chair, a bed, a window, lots of books and more.

Below is the best image I could find of my room. It's just my bed and all the stuff I was packing for ND (Yes, the walls are pink and black apparently some emo girl lived in the room before me, and the only obvious logical solution is to now become emo to fit the room...)

Chick-fil-A

 私は"Chic-Fil-A"がだいすきです。とてもおいしいです。メニューはたいていたチカンです。たかくないですがやすくないです。チカンサンドひとつは八ぐらいどるです。千二百十一円です。私のおすすめはからいチカンサンドです。 "Chic-Fil-A"はノートルダムだいがくです。

Translation: I love Chi-Fil-A a lot. It is very tasty. On the menu they mostly have chicken. It's not expensive, but it's not cheap either. The Chicken sandwich costs about 8 Dollars or 1211 Yen. I recommend the spicy chicken sandwich. The Chic-Fil-A is in Notre Dame.

Onigiri Action

Onigiri action is an initiative that seeks to promote awareness of children in need of food. By taking a photo with your own onigiri and uploading it they promise to donate school meals to children in need. This week at the Japanese conversation table we made onigiri and posted our photos to do our part. I made two onigiri one normal looking one and one slightly demented looking one.

Kanji Practice

 It's very exciting learning new kanji and being able to apply them to write long paragraphs such as this one. I look forward to seeing what new kanji come next. They're difficult and tedious to learn at first, but it's fun once you have them down and start using them more.
