Final Post

私はサウスベンドからナパバレーまでひこうきでかえります。やすみに私はびょういんであるばいとをしますからとてもいそがしいです。私はかぞくといっしょにアスケートをしますたのしいです。しょしてやすみににほんごのべんきょうをします。いちにがつにじゅうごにちにかぞくといっしょにクリスマスのパーティーをします。それからじゅうにがつにじゅうくにちにたんじょうびのパーティーをします。

Translation: I return home from south bend to napa valley by plane. Over break I will work part time at the hospital that's why I'll be very busy. I will go ice skating with my family over break. I will also study my Japanese over break. On December 25th I will have a Christmas party with my family. Then on December 29th I will have my birthday party.

My Journey at an End

    I am sad to say that the semester is almost over and as such my first semester of Japanese is coming to a close. I have greatly enjoyed the class and I am amazed at how far I have progressed in such a short time span. I plan on continuing my Japanese learning next semester and I am excited to see how much more I can learn. I plan on working over break to make sure I remember everything that I was taught so that I will be prepared to start anther semester with two of my favorite teachers. Happy Holidays, I'll see you all next spring!

Engagement in Japanese Outside of Class

 Recently I have been watching a show called Jujutsu Kaisen. It is quickly becoming one of my favorite animes, it has a fast paced actions style with crisp animation, and of course the plot does not disappoint. The only downside is that it's a newer anime so I have to wait for new episodes to come out every so often. Nonetheless I have greatly enjoyed the show, and I'm noticing that I can understand more and more of the Japanese they're speaking. It's still only bits and pieces and too disjointed to get the full picture, but it's very exciting to see how far I've progressed in such a short time. I look forward to continuing my Japanese journey next semester!
