Aside from adding a little more info about myself I'd also like to share how week three has gone:

Week three went by too quickly, we had two vocabulary quizzes this week which I studies relentlessly for. I am happy to say I got full credit on both of the quizzes, which is certainly a relief since I spent quite a while memorizing all 70 terms!

I also learned about the Japanese artist Fujii Kaze who does excellent work, he has a very soothing and melodic voice and I'll definitely be adding his music to my playlist. わたしはにほんごのおんがくがだいすきです。ー I love Japanese music!

  2. Do you have any recommendations for anime? The episodes of One Piece I've watched so far have been relatively captivating. I feel like I would be more connected to the show if I started from the beginning, but I'm not going to watch 1,000+ episodes. Are there any other shorter animes that have a similar style?

    1. Hmm definitely depends on what genre/kind of anime you're in to. I really liked Steins Gate, but that's not as actiony. For a good shorter action one I like: demon slayer, hunter x hunter, or one punch man. I would just try out new ones and get a feel for what you might like, when in doubt give it a shot, some of my favorite animes I found I saw as weird and didn't want to give them a shot at first.
